·Line service expansion
Container Department is working at extending container business,
introducing new international and domestic lines to Taicang
Port. Since Container Department was founded in April of 2004,
quite a few shipping companies have been attracted to Taicang
Port and started their services here. Today, Taicang Port
possesses several international line services which includes
Taiwan Line, Hong Kong Line, etc., as well as Domestic lines to
South China Line, North China Line and along the Yangtze River.
These lines link Taicang Port with other major domastic ports.
With the opening of Yangshan Port, direct sailing by barges from
Taicang Port to Yangshan Port is available. Taicang Port is
connecting to the world.
·Business extension
We have sent professional sales people to major areas throughout
the hinterlands of Suzhou, Wuxi, Changzhou and the Yangtze River
Delta to promote Taicang Port. They are mainly there to collect
information about cargo resources and clients demands, to formed
important links between shipping companies and agencies so that
more cargos will be attracted to Taicang Port. Ultimately
shipping companies would be encouraged for opening new line
services in Taicang Port.
