Steel
The importation of steel is among the major businesses of
TICT. Since inception, Taicang Port has established long-term
business connections with many prominent global steel suppliers
and merchants in the international market. The average steel
throughput in 2003 and 2004 has reached more than 2,000,000
tons. A record vessel with 70,000 tons of steel once called
Taicang Port. There are a great variety of steel products
in Taicang Port. This includes profiled steel, billet, wire,
rolled steel etc. In order to serve customers better, TICT
plans to expand capacity by building another 20,000 square
meters of warehouse.
Pulp rolls
The
volume of paper import and export is steadily increasing due
to the various paper corporations situated on the Yangtze
River.
Chemical
fiber
Chemical fiber City—Wujiang is close to Taicang Port. The
chemical fiber business is growing
rapidly.
Equipment
We are also capable for super-sized equipment operations.
In early 2007, ultra-sized petroleum distillation columns
have exported via Taicang Terminals. Each unit is 88 meters
long and weighs more than 180 tons. With normative and strict
operations, catering to the needs of the customers, Taicang
Terminals is ready to serve you wholeheartedly.
Pulp
Several pulp companies have successfully settled in Suzhou.
Companies such as APP, keep close business contacts
with Taicang Port. Much focus is directed at pulp development
here at Taicang Terminals and we are constantly working on
expanding the market.
PTA
The inflow of bag goods such as PTA, ABS, and etc is steadily
on the rise. Taicang Port is conveniently located near the
“Plastic Town” of Fuqiao. Modern chemical fiber companies
such as Suzhou Shenjiu corporation, Zhenhui corporation are
all settled in Fuqiao. These are all in favor of the development
of Taicang Port.
Bitumen
With the continued progress of national economy, the improved
traffic network supports greater opportunities and provides
more convenience for bitumen imports to Taicang Port. The
volume of bitumen import increases annually. With the support
of related national departments, direct handling of bitumen
from vessels to vehicles is available in a manner that is
fast and efficient.
Timber
Taicang Port has become the largest Russian timber distribution
center of China. The timber volume has exceeded 1 million
cubic meters in 2006, reaching a record of 1.14 million cubic
meters, nearly 70% of timber imported from Russian by sea.
which in 2005, the volume is merely 920,000 cubic meters.Also,
we have attracted timber business from South America, New
Zealand, Africa and Australia.
In order to continue the development of Russian timber distribution
center in Taicang, a national timber fumigation inspection
base is constructed, and it is expected to start service
in May, 2007. By then, Taicang Port will become the
2nd national timber fumigation inspection base besides
Putian Port with a fumigation volume of 25,000 cubic meters.
That will boost Russian timber business and other timber trade
in Yangtze River Delta as well as the surrounding areas.
The company is planning to increase investment in port facilities
in 2007. The break bulk operation system has already put into
service.
The timber volume in Taicang Port is expected to break 1.5
million cubic meters in 2007.

Farm product
Eversince
Taicang Port was founded in 1998, the farm product export
market has greatly expanded. The growth in export volume of
grain and garlic has been especially impressive.
Cement
With the fast development of the world economy, the export
volume of cement is increasing. The market prospect for cement
export to Russia and Australia is quite favorable.
Business enlargement
TICT directs a large amount of its’ focus on business enlargement.
TICT is expanding business scope in order to make Taicang
Port an integrated port in Yangtze River Delta. Together with
customers, TICT will strive to realize “win-win” situations
