About Taicang Port Bonded Logistics Park |

Logistics Administration
Company Limited has
invested RMB1.76392
billion in Taicang Port
Bonded Logistics Park
(hereafter referred to
as the “Logistics
Park”). The Logistics
Park is situated at the
backside of the port
areas. The state highway
of #204, #312, Shanghai-Taicang
Expressway, Riverside
Expressway,
Suzhou-Kunshan-Taicang
Expressway and
Wuxi-Taicang Highway
under construction are
all in the vicinity of
the port areas. The
proposed Zhennan railway
nearby will provide the
Logistics Park with
favorable conditions for
easy and convenient
transportation. This
will lay a foundation
for the development of
the Logistics Park.

1.Planning |
The Logistics Park covers
146.07 hectares. According
to function, it can be
divided into international
transshipment section,
international logistics
section, international
procurement section, general
cargo stacking section,
general cargo stacking yard,
import & export inspection
section, office of Customs &
Inspection Bureau,
management section,
production assistance
section, etc. |

2.Functions |
Yard planning: Based on
short-term design, there
will be 6,498 container
slots and 260,000
㎡
for break bulk cargo. In
light of the development
plan and comparative
advantages of Taicang Port,
the Logistics Park primarily
deals in containers but also
with chemical products,
steel, etc. The main
functions of the Logistics
Park are as follows: |

International transit trade
(including international
transshipment).
Foreign-trade enterprises
can develop transit business
in Logistics Park by way of
modern logistics. This will
make the Logistics Park an
important base of
international commodities. |

International Procurement.
The goods for international
trade and bonded imports
purchased will be sold to
both domestic and
international markets after
general handling of
transportation of export
containers and value-added
services. |

Stacking and Delivery.
Logistics companies located
within the Logistics Park
will stack and deliver
bonded goods after simple
processing and value-added
services. |

Inspection and Maintenance .
As planned, the initiative
project covering 1.39 sq.km
has been in the construction
stage since September, 2005.
Several other projects have
recently begun construction.
This includes Monitoring
Office Building, 100,000
sq.m of comprehensive
warehouse and initiative
construction of container
yard. |
