Six hundred years ago, Zheng He’s seven western voyages made Taicang Port famous as its unmooring place, as well as the historical Dock of Six Countries. Nowadays, Taicang Port enters into new development era and will rebuild the hesternal glory.

Taicang International Container Terminal Company Ltd (TICT) was established in 1997 in line with the State Council’s strategic planning of “one center two wings”for Shanghai International Shipping Center. Up till now, TICT possesses 4 berths with internationally advanced facilities and computerized operation management system. With experienced management team and delicate staff, TICT has shown a good tendency of development.

TICT enjoys unique geographical advantages, excellent natural conditions for port construction, developed hinterland, convenient traffic network and wide land areas, all of which provide strong supports for the development of TICT. TICT has great potential for future development. Nowadays, the hinterland of TICT has extended to the upper reaches of Yangtze River. We will continue to strive for turning TICT into the logistics center of southern Jiangsu or even of Yangtze Valley.

Taicang Port, as one of the key construction projects of both the 10th and 11th Five-Year Development Plan of Ministry of Communication and Jiangsu Province, a part of the Shanghai International Shipping Center, has won support from all government levels and gained trusts and assistances from shipping companies, shippers and agencies.
